The belt driven fans within the air handling units at this hotel had failed, resulting in no ventilation to several areas of the building including the toilets and the kitchen. It was imperative that the ventilation was reinstated as a matter of urgency to ensure the Hotel was fully operational & compliant.
With the building owners advertising for new leases a key objective was to ensure the indoor environment is comfortable and healthy. Over time, the existing AHUs became less efficient, leading to higher energy bills and reduced indoor air quality.

This project enabled significant carbon emission reductions through HVAC energy upgrades and full Air Handling Unit (AHU) refurbishments. The IoT energy monitoring and IAQ monitoring were implemented for over ten AHUs servicing 24/7 critical science labs. These comprehensive upgrades required extensive modifications and refurbishments, including the installation of new HEPA filtration systems, multiple IE6 fan upgrades, damper and coil remediation, new anti-leakage seals, and BMS modifications. The refurbishments utilized industry-pioneering advanced technologies and specialist modifications to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
